I stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago and I have to say, this was one of my favorite meals while traveling in the UK. Solid place and I will go back anytime I am in town.

Great for Sunday roast. Pork and chicken on offer. I had the pork. Melt in the mouth meat and very crackly crackling. Loads of beer choices.

Lovely atmosphere and music, a bar area and a more restaurant like area. A nice outside seating area and lovely staff. Good portions of great food. Would greatly recommend for a nice relaxed night out.

Gem of a pub for locals &/Or tourist in pub crawl mood 💎. The atmosphere & decoration of the place are unique in town. I’m Latino & it makes me feel home without losing it’s Brit fine touch. Beer, whiskey & rum selection is great. If you’re lucky, go for a single of rum Hechicera.

Absolutely love this pub. First I thought it was the character of the pub that did it, then I thought it was the fantastic selection of real ales, rums and whiskies, but soon enough realised it was the staff that make this place so great. I will be very sorry when I move away from Cambridge, because this is my favourite pub anywhere.

Here I had the best fillet steak around Cambridge. It taste just great. The Hot Rocks is quite a big fun.

Wonderful atmosphere. Stopped for a roast dinner and was delighted with the choice of excellent ales and beers, as well as the tempting menu. A good range of speciality meats on offer. Loved the retro musical interior, with historic instruments utilised as beer taps! Drums for lamps, and a grand piano as a coffee table. You won’t forget your visit here (unless you try to sample all the beers on offer!)

This hidden Pub on the backstreets of Cambridge is without a doubt the best Pub in Cambridge. The food is of the highest quality and cooked to the highest standards.
The staff are the nicest and most helpful I have come across always willing to meet your dietary needs. The music performing at the Pub is a big bonus.
This years New Year Eve event was well planned and everyone who attend enjoyed the band and the surprise bag piper at midnight was a joy to have. I have no trouble recommending this Pub. Well worth your time to visit and enjoy the atmosphere with the unique musical themed decorations and also the enjoyable beer garden.

The food was all absolutely delicious. Really unique and diverse menu, something for every taste. The staff were really attentive at dealing with dietary requirements as well which made for a really lovely dining experience. Had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at this amazing musical themed pub. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent. The music and was a bonus for the day. The landlord here runs a tight ship and, my, does it pay off! The food is always superb, there is a fantastic selection of ales, whisky’s, wines and more, and the music is spot on. The pub is relaxingly split into 3 min sections: bar (with a cosy fire in the winter!); restaurant; and random seating area with re-purposed grand piano as the table. Oh and not forgetting the gorgeous outside area for the smokers/summertime. This really is my favourite pub in Cambridge, and everyone I bring here loves it. Try it and you’ll never want to go anywhere else 🙂

We had dinner there last night and it was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly, the menu is varied, and there are many amazing sounding specials not on the menu. They have hot stones for some of their mains – these are granite squares, heated to a very hot temperature and the meat is presented on them and you can then cook it yourself. It comes with two sides – the oven roasted vegetables were great but the wedges were amazing – I would go ahead for the wedges alone. The hot stone meals are only on the right side of the place, but you can still order food on the left side (the bar side). They have a good selection on tap, and several other menus – like a rum menu, and a whiskey menu. I didn’t have coffee or dessert or get to take advantage of listening to live music but I bet that would be excellent as well. i could go on and on – it was just a great place to go for dinner – either just as two people or as a larger group.

We hadn’t booked but were made welcome immediately . Enjoyed a beautifully cooked meal . A varied  “different” menu available. Lovely atmosphere. We stayed in a nearby Premier Inn and it’s within a ten minute easy walk.

My first time here yesterday. Laura and the staff were very accommodating especially as we were a large and loud group of 24 people so booked in advance. Lovely food and tasty coffee! I would just like to say I visited The Geldart tonight for the first time tonight and it was fab! Great attentive staff, great food, and a warm friendly atmosphere. Loved the art on the walls, and the specials boards, and the hot rocks……..just a lovely place to spend a chilled out evening. I shall be recommending this place to friends and hope they experience the same delight I did! Special mention to the waiter who brought out relishes in a delightful serving bowl and was smily and pleasant throughout the evening, and the waitress who showed the same care and attention to every customer, explaining the hot rocks, and even went to the kitchen to find out the exact composition of the raspberry upside down cheesecake cake.
