SUMMARY:DESK REJECTION
DESCRIPTION:Originally from Southeast London\, singer-songwriter Greta Thompson’s music explores the mixed feelings of modern life\, navigating the grey zones between emotional extremes. Combining a rich dynamic and tonal range\, Thompson’s music reflects a variety of musical influences spanning from Irish folk to contemporary indie pop and jazz. \nTogether with guitar and bassist Patrick Ferris\, jazz pianist Eleanor Holton\, and drummer Pablo Hubacher Haerle\, Thompson formed Desk Rejection in 2023. Since then\, the Cambridge-based four-piece band have sold out two London gigs at Next Door Records and Morocco Bound Bookshop. \nHaving won a place on Cambridge University’s Advanced Popular Performance scheme\, they are under ther mentorship of Polly Paulusma. \nJoin us for an evening of original songs\, from uplifting anthems to intimate acoustic numbers. \nEntry £7 Student £5 \nhttps://deskrejection.com/ \nhttps://www.instagram.com/deskrejection/
