Hi guys, so we just wanted to say hello and try and keep you up to date with where we are (as far as we know!) I know you all know what’s going on in general with this virus and hope you’re all keeping well and healthy 👍🏻

As per the announcement yesterday, pubs and restaurants, etc. remain open but obviously people have been advised to avoid all such establishments. We’re as unsure as everyone else and are just taking things day by day. We’re open and trading as usual and will be here for you if you need us.

Please note that all live music events are cancelled for the foreseeable future. Our bar and kitchen remain open as usual for the time being. We will offer delivery to local residents who are self-isolating wherever we can.

Obviously we will keep you updated and do our best to stay open and trading as long as possible but the most important thing is for everyone to keep well, stay safe and look after each other. Be kind and stick together, I’m sure we’ll get through this.

“how many artists do you know whose material is stronger than ever after twenty years of incessant touring and putting out the occasional album? Crooner/guitarist Jack Grace, arguably New York’s foremost and funniest pioneer of Americana and urban country, is one of that rare breed.”

28. January 2020 · Comments Off on Photography exhibition for February 2020 · Categories: Uncategorised

For the month of February we are excited to be exhibiting the work of local resident and photographer, Sean Grady. This will be Sean’s first ever exhibition of his work and we are proud to be able to show it here at The Geldart.

“My first exhibition at The Geldart in Cambridge will feature framed and mounted prints selected from the thousands of photos I’ve taken over the years, ranging from film to megapixel prints.

Now living in Cambridge, I’ve worked and travelled extensively in Africa and have a passion for the Kruger National Park in South Africa in particular. The landscapes and wildlife, from large mammals to the tiniest sunbirds, are equally captivating.  Once you’ve seen and photographed your first baobab tree, elephant or wild dog, it’s addictive.

The exhibition will also include pictures from wider travels in Egypt, China, USA, Portugal and France and closer to home in Ireland and, finally, in Cambridge.”

The exhibition is available to view during pub opening hours. Opening night – Thursday 6th February 2020.
